My daughter is going on vacation in two days and she has a fat, yellow, cat named Missy Misdemeanor, Missy for short, that she will be leaving with her girlfriend in the next building. My daughter has been having "ageda" over the transportation move of Missy from her apartment without her being in a carrier. Her fear is that while carrying her over to her girlfriend, Missy will start clawing and meowing and raising all kind of hell and jump out of her arms and take off running to some unknown nether region of the community. The other new idea now is that her boyfriend will carry her across to the other building and deliver her to the waiting arms of her girlfriend without incident. She told me that he did a little trial of just lifting Missy and she somehow put her claws into his arm and his reaction was "Oh, she has claws". Ok. She does have claws. It will be very traumatic for poor Missy to leave the apartment and venture out to the unknown. My daughter adopted her from a shelter right after Christmas '07 and when we took her outside and into the vehicle, she was just frantic. She panted, eyes wide open, tongue out with saliva dripping from her mouth. Poor girl.
So we will just have to wait and see the outcome of the transportation of Missy and how it will be accomplished and who will be badly scratched up and left in traction. This scene or something similar will all take place tomorrow night under the cover of darkness.
